Helsinki Zen Center
Helsinki Zen Center is a Zen Buddhist practice center. We offer guided Zen meditation 4–5 times a week, full-day meditation retreats, and Buddhist ceremonies.
Our zendo is located in Sörnäinen, at Pääskylänrinne 3.

Introductory courses
We hold introductory courses to Zen practice once a month. Some of the introductions are in English, and we also offer shorter introductions in English on demand. Read more about the course content, check the schedule and apply on the Introductory courses page.
Our Facilities for Rent
Our facilities are available for rent outside of our practice hours. Read more here.
Library
The Zen Center has a collection of books on Zen and Buddhism that are available for loan to members.
Morning Yoga
During Morning Yoga, participants do their own yoga practice at their own pace, but the space can be used flexibly for any other form of exercise as long as you respect the shared space. After the session, coffee is served, and you are welcome to enjoy your own snacks. All members of the Morning Yoga group and the Helsinki Zen Center are welcome to join Morning Yoga. Please sign up in advance if this is your first time, just in case of any changes. Schedule in the calendar below.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, the zen center’s facilities do not have full accessibility. There is an outdoor threshold at the entrance, but it is not particularly high and there is a ramp. The nearest accessible restroom is available upon request at the adjacent restaurant during its business hours.
